A Welcoming To Myself
My first real post using this blog. I hope to use this blog as a means to put my photography out there and hopefully people will take notice to it.
Let's start with a little about myself:
My name is David Calderon. I'm 24 years old and reside in Addison, Illinois. Photography is something I only really picked up about a year and a half ago. It's always been something I've had an interest in, but I never really got into it before. Ever since buying my first camera (Rebel XSi), I've really found myself enjoying this hobby. I enjoy taking pictures of really anything and everything, though sometimes I have a hard time figuring out how things "might be shot." I guess sometimes I have this idea that people expect something to be expressed or captured in a certain way and for some reason I want to find a way to appeal to everyones desires. Whether or not I actually accomplish that, I am not sure at this moment. Hopefully anyone who reads this blog will help me answer that question.
Different types of photography I've experimented with so far are wedding, nature, cityscape, and a few shows/concerts. I think out of all of them, my favorite would have to be the shows/concerts. There is something I really enjoy about capturing that one exciting moment, when someone does something incredible...and you saw and captured it. Maybe someone will enjoy what I saw myself.
